ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,344,726, issued on July 1, was assigned to TREIBACHER INDUSTRIE AG (Treibach-Althofen, Austria).

"Thermal stabilizer for polyester" was invented by Christiane Kartusch (Klagenfurt, Austria), Anton Auer (Metnitz, Austria) and Erich Rack (Volkermarkt, Austria).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Polymeric composition comprising a thermoplastic polyester and a rare earth compound selected from the group consisting of lanthanum hydroxide, cerium oxide hydrate and mixtures thereof, characterized in that the amount of the thermoplastic polyester in the polymeric composition is more than 50 wt. %, preferably more than 70 wt. %."
