US Patent Issued to Transformation Packaging on March 18 for "Automated packing systems and methods" (Ohio, Colorado Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,252,289, issued on March 18, was assigned to Transformation Packaging LLC (Hebron, Ohio).

"Automated packing systems and methods" was invented by Jeff Boothman (Powell, Ohio), Ron Maynard (Newark, Ohio) and Brad Fehn (Littleton, Colo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The volume, content, and void volume of a box are determined. Using those determinations, a fill ratio calculation is used to establish the packing element requirement of the box."

The patent was filed on July 8, 2016, under Application No. 15/205,503.
