ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,308,382, issued on May 20, was assigned to TOYOTA JIDOSHA K.K. (Toyota, Japan).

"All-solid-state battery" was invented by Takuya Matsuyama (Susono, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There is provided an all-solid-state battery including a positive electrode, a solid electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode, wherein the positive electrode contains a positive electrode active material, and the positive electrode active material has an O2 type structure and contains at least Li, Mn, Ni and O as constituent elements."

The patent was filed on Nov. 18, 2021, under Application No. 17/530,071.
