US Patent Issued to TOYOTA JIDOSHA on July 29 for "Coated active material production method and coated active material" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,374,677, issued on July 29, was assigned to TOYOTA JIDOSHA K.K. (Toyota, Japan).

"Coated active material production method and coated active material" was invented by Masaru Kubota (Okazaki, Japan), Kazuki Muraishi (Toyota, Japan), Yuki Ishigaki (Nisshin, Japan) and Masanori Kitayoshi (Toyota, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for producing a coated active material includes dropletizing a slurry to obtain slurry droplets wherein the slurry contains an active material and a coating liquid, gas-flow drying the slurry droplets in a heating gas to obtain a precursor, and firing the precursor."
