ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,288,882, issued on April 29, was assigned to TOYOTA JIDOSHA K.K. (Toyota, Japan).

"Anode material and fluoride ion battery" was invented by Kousuke Noi (Uji, Japan) and Hidenori Miki (Hiratsuka, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A main object of the present disclosure is to provide an anode material that is used in a fluoride ion battery of a car and can prevent the decrease in operating voltage while inhibiting occurrence of short circuit.
