ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,334,291, issued on June 17, was assigned to TOYOTA JIDOSHA K.K. (Toyota, Japan) and PACIFIC ENGINEERING CORP. (Ogaki, Japan).
"Fuse" was invented by Kiyokazu Akiyama (Okazaki, Japan), Katsumi Yuasa (Nishio, Japan), Ryohei Ono (Anjo, Japan), Kenji Osada (Echi-gun, Japan) and Syuya Kataoka (Nordrhein-westfalen, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fuse includes: an element including a plurality of narrow portions each of which becomes a starting point of fusion cutting; a pair of terminals connected by the element; and a case housing the element, in which the element has a curved surface, and is disposed in a tube shape."
