ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,428,215, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Topgolf Callaway Brands Corp. (Carlsbad, Calif.).
"Packaging for golf clubs" was invented by Erik Weiss (Carlsbad, Calif.) and Fred Stenson (Carlsbad, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A packaging box for golf clubs is disclosed herein. The box comprises a body comprising a plurality of walls defining an elongated hollow interior, and divider inserts. The divider inserts allow for iron-type golf clubs to be packaged without the need for a full length plastic bag."
The patent was filed on Feb. 28, 2023, under Application No. 18/115,605.
