ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,290,732, issued on May 6, was assigned to Topgolf Callaway Brands Corp. (Carlsbad, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A golf club comprising a golf club head having a face wall, an inertial motion unit (IMU) positioned within the body, and a transceiver in communication with the IMU, a shaft attached to the golf club head, and a grip attached to the shaft is disclosed herein.
