US Patent Issued to Topgolf Callaway Brands on March 25 for "Pickleball paddle" (California Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,257,486, issued on March 25, was assigned to Topgolf Callaway Brands Corp. (Carlsbad, Calif.).

"Pickleball paddle" was invented by Mark Myrhum (San Diego).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pickleball paddle is disclosed herein. The pickleball paddle includes a body with a face section and a handle section. The face section has a perimeter. A grip is attached to the handle section. Weighting is positioned in the perimeter of the face section."

The patent was filed on Aug. 20, 2024, under Application No. 18/810,359.
