ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,498,246, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Tom Tom Global Content B.V. (Amsterdam).

"High definition map metadata for autonomous vehicles" was invented by Martijn Franciscus Rosalia Mortier (Eindhoven, Netherlands), Krzysztof Miksa (Lodz, Poland), Filip Ballegeer (Bruges, Belgium), Cornelis Pieter Schuerman (Veldhoven, Netherlands) and Michal Dominik Rosikiewicz (Lodz, Poland).
