ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,473,665, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to TOKUSEN KOGYO Co. LTD. (Hyogo, Japan).
"Production method of carbon nanotube yarn" was invented by Eiji Ohta (Kobe, Japan) and Hiroyuki Ohue (Miki, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A production method of a carbon nanotube yarn includes the steps of: (1) obtaining a web 40 including a large number of carbon nanotubes 36; (2) bringing a slider 24a into contact with the carbon nanotubes 36; and (3) moving the slider 24a in a direction to bundle the carbon nanotubes 36, the direction being inclined with respect to a direction in which the web 40 extends."
