ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,421,610, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG (Duisburg, Germany).

"Component comprising a steel substrate, an intermediate layer and an anticorrosion coating, corresponding hardened component and corresponding methods and uses" was invented by Sebastian Stille (Dortmund, Germany) and Stefan Bienholz (Bochum, Germany).
