ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,240,022, issued on March 4, was assigned to ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG (Duisburg, Germany).
"Sheet steel having a deterministic surface structure" was invented by Oliver Vogt (Dortmund, Germany), Fabian Junge (Wesel, Germany) and Burak William Centinkaya (Dortmund, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a sheet steel skin-pass rolled with a deterministic surface structure, and to a method for producing it."
The patent was filed on Sept. 28, 2020, under Application No. 17/763,428.
