ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,297,411, issued on May 13, was assigned to Thrive Bioscience Inc. (Beverly, Mass.).

"Automated cell culture incubators comprising selectively permeable cell culture vessel storage compartments" was invented by Alan Blanchard (Topsfield, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In some aspects, the invention relates to selectively permeable cell culture vessel storage containers and their methods of use. In some embodiments, the containers comprise a gas-permeable membrane that is selectively impermeable to water vapor."

The patent was filed on May 10, 2021, under Application No. 17/316,672.
