ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,493,601, issued on Dec. 9, was assigned to ThoughtSpot Inc. (Mountain View, Calif.).

"Index sharding" was invented by Peter Kuimelis (Palo Alto, Calif.), Naresh Kumar (Santa Clara, Calif.), Satyam Shekhar (San Jose, Calif.), Amit Prakash (Saratoga, Calif.) and Abhishek Rai (Palo Alto, Calif.).
