ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,298,282, issued on May 13, was assigned to Thermo Finnigan LLC (San Jose, Calif.) and Dionex Softron GmbH (Germering, Germany).
"Needle assembly and a needle receiving assembly with integrated alignment, a capillary injection assembly, system and method" was invented by Daniel Burger (Raisting, Germany), Gary Schultz (Ithaca, N.Y.) and Jeff Henderson (Campbell, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A needle receiving assembly includes a fluid conducting element housing, a sealing element configured to receive a needle, and a fluid conducting element. The needle receiving assembly is configured to connect to a needle of a needle assembly....
