ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,434,219, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL (Chapel Hill, N.C.).

"Polymers, fluorinated ionic polymer networks, and methods related thereto" was invented by Frank Leibfarth (Carrboro, N.C.), Elango Kumarasamy (Ithaca, N.Y.) and Irene Manning (Carrboro, N.C.).
