ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,286,626, issued on April 29, was assigned to THE TRUSTEES OF INDIANA UNIVERSITY (Bloomington, Ind.).

"Myocardial enhancer RNA and methods of use" was invented by Ching-Pin Chang (Indianapolis) and Wei Cheng (Indianapolis).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are methods of detecting myocardial enhancer RNA levels in mammalian cardiomyocytes. In a further embodiment, a method of disrupting assembly of an enhancer DNA-Myh6 promoter-Myh7 promoter complex, is provided wherein the method comprises providing enhancer RNA to a cardiomyocyte."

The patent was filed on Oct. 18, 2019, under Application No. 17/283,845.
