ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,283,475, issued on April 22, was assigned to THE TRUSTEES OF INDIANA UNIVERSITY (Bloomington, Ind.).

"Instrument, including an electrostatic linear ion trap, for analyzing ions" was invented by Martin F. Jarrold (Bloomington, Ind.) and Joanna A. Hogan (Hillsboro, Ore.).
