ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,303,596, issued on May 20, was assigned to THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS IN IRELAND (Dublin).

"Thermo-responsive hydrogel for intratumoral administration as a treatment in solid tumor cancers" was invented by Helena Kelly (Dublin), Garry Duffy (Dublin), Seona Rossi (Dublin) and Conn Hastings (Dublin).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A room temperature injectable thermo-responsive hydrogel comprises a P407 poloxamer base hydrogel, chitosan, 2-Hydroxypropyl Beta-cyclodextrin and genipin.
