ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,276,764, issued on April 15, was assigned to The Research Foundation for The State University of New York (Albany, N.Y.).

"Prismatoid light guide" was invented by Amirhossein Goldan (Stony Brook, N.Y.), Andrew Labella (New Rochelle, N.Y.), Wei Zhao (East Setauket, N.Y.) and Anthony Lubinsky (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.).
