ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,512,561, issued on Dec. 30, was assigned to THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN (Ann Arbor, Mich.).

"Electrochemical cell including piezoelectric structure that reduces solid-electrolyte interphase layer growth on electrode, and method for using the same" was invented by Wei Lu (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and Tianhan Gao (Ann Arbor, Mich.).
