ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,382,777, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to The Regents of the University of Michigan.

"Organic light emitting diode having a mixed blocking layer" was invented by Stephen Forrest (Ewing, N.J.), Caleb Coburn (Ewing, N.J.) and Jaesang Lee (Ewing, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to mixed blocking layers and devices, such as organic light emitting diodes and other devices, including the same."

The patent was filed on Oct. 11, 2016, under Application No. 15/290,584.
