ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,291,510, issued on May 6, was assigned to The Lubrizol Corp. (Wickliffe, Ohio).

"2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole (DMTD) derivatives" was invented by Paul E. Adams (Willoughby, Ohio), Christopher M. Rasik (Cleveland) and Ryan Richard Konrad (Timberlake Village, Ohio).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosed technology relates to derivatives of 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole."
