ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,304,728, issued on May 20, was assigned to The Heil Co. (Chattanooga, Tenn.).

"Intermediate container for integration with a refuse vehicle" was invented by David C. Gentry (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Bryan Stewart (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Brian Ham (Huntsville, Ala.), Bobby Ray McKinney (Fort Payne, Ala.) and John Wayne Bedwell (Southside, Ala.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An intermediate container for a refuse vehicle where the container is positioned in front of the refuse vehicle is provided. A plurality of legs extends from the container toward the refuse vehicle. An attachment mechanism is on each leg to secure the legs to a front loading...
