US Patent Issued to The General Hospital on March 11 for "Granzyme B directed imaging and therapy" (Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,246,075, issued on March 11, was assigned to The General Hospital Corp. (Boston).

"Granzyme B directed imaging and therapy" was invented by Umar Mahmood (Winchester, Mass.), Benjamin Larimer (Woburn, Mass.) and Eric Wehrenberg-Klee (Boston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are compounds useful for imaging granzyme B. An exemplary compound provided herein is useful as a radiotracer for position emission tomography (PET) and/or single photon emission tomography (SPECT) imaging.
