US Patent Issued to THE FAST FAMILY TRUST on July 29 for "Waffle iron plate" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,369,746, issued on July 29, was assigned to THE FAST FAMILY TRUST (Laguna Beach, Calif.).

"Waffle iron plate" was invented by Brian J. Fast (Laguna Beach, Calif.) and Ryan Adams (Santa Ana, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A waffle iron plate for forming a waffle having multiple scores, the plate comprising a base having a front surface and at least two spaced-apart ribs extending from the front surface of the base and configured to form the scores, whereby the waffle may be folded along the scores so as to have a bottom portion and two side portions."
