ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. PP36,973, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to THE CONARD PYLE COMPANY (West Grove, Pa.).
"Bedding rose plant named 'MEISOBUKO'" was invented by Alain Antoine Meilland (Antibes, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct variety of bedding rose plant, referred to by its cultivar name, 'MEISOBUKO', is described. The new variety forms in abundance on a nearly continuous basis geranium red-orange colored blossoms. The growth habit is bushy. Glossy and dense foliage is formed. Additionally, the new variety is particularly well suited for growing as distinctive ornamentation in the landscape."
