ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. PP36,660, issued on May 13, was assigned to THE CONARD PYLE COMPANY (West Grove, Pa.).
"Floribunda rose plant named 'Spropuff'" was invented by James Sproul (Bakersfield, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct variety of floribunda rose plant, referred to by its cultivar name, 'Spropuff', is described. The new variety forms in abundance on a substantially continuous basis medium pink colored blossoms. The growth habit is very bushy and upright to rounded. Glossy foliage is formed. Additionally, the new variety is particularly well suited for growing as distinctive ornamentation in the landscape."
