ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,337,027, issued on June 24, was assigned to THE CHILDREN'S MEDICAL CENTER Corp. (Boston).

"Methods and compositions relating to lung repair" was invented by Mark Puder (Medfield, Mass.) and Duy T. Dao (Boston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are methods of inducing and/or enhancing lung growth and/or repair by administering an agonist of sFlt1-Hif signaling to a subject or contacting lung tissue with an agonist of sFlt1-Hif signaling."

The patent was filed on Jan. 24, 2019, under Application No. 16/977,854.
