ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,229,873, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to The Children's Medical Center Corp. (Boston).

"Methods for three-dimensional cardiac imaging" was invented by Mehdi H. Moghari (Boston), Andrew J. Powell (Boston) and Tal Geva (Boston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention features a prospective respiratory motion compensation technique for cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging of the whole-heart of a free-breathing subject."

The patent was filed on Sept. 26, 2023, under Application No. 18/373,232.
