US Patent Issued to The Boeing on Sept. 9 for "Tuned multilayered material systems and methods for manufacturing" (California Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,409,491, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to The Boeing Co. (Arlington, Va.).

"Tuned multilayered material systems and methods for manufacturing" was invented by Ali Yousefiani (Tustin, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A multilayered material system includes at least one of a liner sheet and a cellular core, and a multilayered composite joined to the at least one of a liner sheet and a cellular core. The multilayered composite includes hollow microspheres dispersed within a metallic matrix material."

The patent was filed on Jan. 9, 2023, under Application No. 18/151,667.
