ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,337,072, issued on June 24, was assigned to The Boeing Co. (Chicago).
"Systems and methods for cooling ultraviolet (UV) lamps" was invented by Kevin S. Callahan (Everett, Wash.), Michael Kipling Klein (Bothell, Wash.) and Christopher Edward Plass (Snohomish, Wash.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A sanitizing system and method include a sanitizing head including an ultraviolet (UV) lamp, and a cooling manifold configured to deliver air to the UV lamp. The sanitizing system can also include an exhaust sub-system."
The patent was filed on Nov. 19, 2021, under Application No. 17/530,619.
