US Patent Issued to The Boeing on June 10 for "Combined material honeycomb core" (Indian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,325,217, issued on June 10, was assigned to The Boeing Co. (Arlington, Va.).

"Combined material honeycomb core" was invented by Kishora Shetty (Bangalore, India), Vishnuraj Linga Raj (Chennai, India), Jayakumar Palani (Chennai, India) and Vigneshwaramoorthy Kannaian (Thanjavur, India).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A combined material honeycomb core and methods of manufacture are presented. The combined material honeycomb core comprises a plurality of cells arranged in columns and rows formed of multiple materials, the multiple materials comprising a metallic material and either a second metallic material or a non-metallic material."
