"Systems and methods for controlling a dynamic display" was invented by Scott Alan Adams (Everett, Wash.), Edward Ryan Greene (Charleston, S.C.) and Peter Babilo (Mission Viejo, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system and a method include a substrate having a surface, such as an exterior surface of a vehicle. An electrophoretic display is disposed on the surface. A control unit is coupled to the electrophoretic display. The control unit is configured to selectively change one or more properties of the electrophoretic display."
