ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,520, issued on April 15, was assigned to The Boeing Co. (Chicago).
"Liquid-diverting panel assemblies" was invented by Thomas Seth Perkins (Renton, Wash.) and Xiaoxi Wang (Mukilteo, Wash.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A panel assembly (such as for an internal cabin of an aircraft) includes at least one liquid flow path formed on at least one surface through surface treatment. The at least one liquid flow path is formed in relation to at least one bank on the at least one surface. The at least one liquid flow path is configured to divert liquid to a desired location."
