ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,472,562, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to The Board of Trustees of the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, Ala.).

"Friction based additive manufacturing systems and methods" was invented by Paul Galon Allison (Northport, Ala.) and James Brian Jordon (Tuscaloosa, Ala.).
