ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,440,619, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to Terumo Cardiovascular Systems Corp. (Ann Arbor, Mich.).

"Microplegia delivery system" was invented by Carmen Joseph Leone (Chelsea, Mich.) and Paul Thomas Kotnik (Commerce Township, Mich.).
