ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,407,820, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to Tencent America LLC (Palo Alto, Calif.).

"Intra prediction with multiple reference lines" was invented by Xin Zhao (San Jose, Calif.), Xiang Li (Saratoga, Calif.), Shan Liu (San Jose, Calif.) and Liang Zhao (Sunnyvale, Calif.).
