ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,262,020, issued on March 25, was assigned to TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET LM ERICSSON (PUBL) (Stockholm).
"Video decoding and encoding" was invented by Rickard Sjoberg (Stockholm) and Martin Pettersson (Vallentuna, Sweden).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Data that is predicted across pictures in a video sequence is managed by separating the data into multiple data types.
