ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 29 -- United States Patent no. 12,207,782, issued on Jan. 28, was assigned to Techtronic Floor Care Technology Ltd. (Tortola, British Virgin Islands).
"Floor cleaner" was invented by Rafael Davila (Kannapolis, N.C.), Michael Paul Dawson (Huntersville, N.C.) and Michael Bloom (Charlotte, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cleaning head for a floor cleaner including a housing, a brushroll, a suction inlet, and a mounting plate. The mounting plate includes an edge brush adjacent the suction inlet and extending to a lateral side of the housing. The edge brush is configured to direct dirt and debris from the lateral side of the floor cleaner to the suction inlet."
