ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,380,147, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to TEALIUM INC. (San Diego).

"System and method for constructing visitor profiles" was invented by Charles Glommen (Oceanside, Calif.), Larry Xu (San Diego) and Michael Anderson (Carlsbad, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Embodiments of the systems described herein can implement one or more visitor stitching processes. Visitor stitching can include, among other things, one or more processes by which multiple visitors that may appear distinctly independent may be merged into a new single united visitor profile due to the leveraging of one or more unique persistent identifiers."
