ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,412,902, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to TDK Corp. (Tokyo).

"Lithium iron complex oxide, cathode material, cathode, and lithium-ion secondary battery" was invented by Tomohiko Hasegawa (Tokyo), Kosuke Sato (Tokyo), Hiroki Karisyuku (Tokyo) and Takashi Mori (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A lithium iron complex oxide is represented by Li5FeO4, two peaks with different quadrupole splitting values (QS) analyzed using 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy are shown, one of the two peaks, a peak A, satisfies QSless than0, and the other one of the two peaks, a peak B, satisfies QS=0."
