US Patent Issued to Tangle Teezer on July 1 for "Backcombing brush" (British Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,342,930, issued on July 1, was assigned to Tangle Teezer Ltd. (London).

"Backcombing brush" was invented by Shaun Pulfrey (London) and Cameron Bruce William Treeby (London).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A backcombing brush for backcombing hair includes an array of bristles 4. Each bristle extends from a base to a free end and two lengths of bristle are provided. Shorter bristles 4a and the bottom of longer bristles 4b carry out backcombing, whilst the longer bristles smooth hair, or untangle knots/tangles in the hair to reduce the level of backcombing.
