ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,439,706, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (Hsinchu, Taiwan).

"Device over photodetector pixel sensor" was invented by Jhy-Jyi Sze (Hsin-Chu, Taiwan), Dun-Nian Yaung (Taipei, Taiwan) and Alexander Kalnitsky (San Francisco).
