ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,334,476, issued on June 17, was assigned to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (Hsin-Chu, Taiwan).

"Semiconductor device with discrete blocks" was invented by Ching-Wen Hsiao (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Chen-Shien Chen (Zhubei, Taiwan), Wei Sen Chang (Jinsha Township, Taiwan) and Shou-Cheng Hu (Tai-Chung, Taiwan).
