ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,363,459, issued on July 15, was assigned to TAIWAN SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING COMPANY LTD. (Hsinchu, Taiwan).

"Photosensing pixel including self-aligned light shielding layer" was invented by Yueh-Chuan Lee (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Chih-Chiang Chang (Hsinchu, Taiwan) and Chia-Chan Chen (Hsinchu, Taiwan).
