ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 29 -- United States Patent no. 12,209,987, issued on Jan. 28, was assigned to TAIWAN SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING COMPANY LTD. (Hsinchu, Taiwan).

"Semiconductor biosensor" was invented by Yi-Hsing Hsiao (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Jui-Cheng Huang (Hsinchu, Taiwan) and Yu-Jie Huang (Kaohsiung, Taiwan).
