ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,471,713, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to Tackle Tops LLC (Palm City, Fla.).
"Cushion storage system" was invented by William M. McCord (Palm City, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cushion storage device designed to engage with a secondary, independent structure, such as a cooler, to 1) allow for additional storage of items (independent of what may be stored in the independent structure), and 2) provide seating. When engaged with a cooler, an individual may store items inside of the cushion storage device and use the attached cushion storage device as a seat."
