ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,464,600, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to T-Mobile USA Inc. (Bellevue, Wash.).
"Timer for emergency text messages" was invented by Arnold F. Cataniag (Issaquah, Wash.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present system and method uses a timer at a higher level, closer to the physical layer, to avoid software errors and the like from delaying messages and allowing the timer to expire inadvertently."
The patent was filed on July 6, 2022, under Application No. 17/858,386.
